The final day of my family vacation resulted in a tough 2 hour clean up operation at the villa, each of us assigned to specific jobs, one disappeared playing hide-and-seek, definitely not me.  From floor to ceiling, wall to wall, furniture to furniture, and sore backs, the villa looked spic-and-span.  A job well done indeed.  We couldn’t leave North Cyprus without paying a quick visit to the capital, Lefkosa (Lefkosia or Nicosia), the city is currently the only divided capital city in the world, divided by the northern (Turkish) and southern (Greeks) parts, a demilitarised zone maintained by the United Nations.  It was about an hour drive to the city, we of course, forgot to bring our passports to enter southern Cyprus.  As the temperature reached boiling point, skin gotten darker, nose clogged up with dry dust, my camouflage-sport (top by Rihianna x River Island) attire didn’t cause concern with the local army officers, thankfully it’s legal to wear camouflage in public.

Pictorial highlights:

There are some countries where wearing camouflage and army surplus wear are prohibited, your top is fine.

That’s mad, divided to the point you need passports to enter. Crazy that but I good fact to keep in the back pocket for another day. Look at that cute cat, just doing its thing in the sun. I can relate to the cleaning, we have to do that when we visit Hollie’s parent’s villa in Orlando. Deep Clean. You suit sportswear, the shorts look cool.

[…] this present stage I still have prominent tan lines and uneven patches from the trips in Morocco, Cyprus and Malta, I applied enough generous layers of bronzer certainly didn’t help either. […]
