At home I would spend between 10-15 hour day hunching my back working on my laptop (and sometimes I like have the telly switched on) mostly doing research, editing photos on Photoshop, answering to never ending emails which takes up most of the day, check live feeds on social media platforms, upload snaps on Instagram and if I needed a break I play Candy Crush on my phone, currently stuck at level 70 for 2 weeks.  At night before tucking into bed I catch up on previous nights Korean drama or variety entertainment programme on live stream sites, so I pretty much surrounded by technology and knotted cables on day to day basis, my body is literally given a daily treat of harmful rays.

My daily gadget essentials:
Canon EOS 5D MK2, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens:  This breaking bad-ass dslr can do serious damage to your neck and shoulder…aloha pinch nerves!  Mostly used for work, sometimes leisure, hoping to upgrade the lens to vainy Canon 50mm L f/1.2 or not the so vainy Canon 50mm f/1.4.  Awaiting for my new baby Olympus Stylus 1 to arrive soon!

Acer Iconia A1 tablet:  I’m not a regular tablet user but this one is great for travel, checking emails, social media, and surfing the web.  A decent size tablet slips perfectly in your handbag, retails at £150, I kid you not it’s a pretty good deal.  Do check Acer tablet reviews for in depth user reviews and specs.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and Zoom:  I’m not one of the normal ones that carries 2 mobile devices in my handbag, they’re just too good to use!  I use the Zoom to snap pictures where ever I go, have you seen the shots I took in North Cyprus?  Yes THAT.

Anker battery charger:  My phone’s life support machine.

Apple iPod and Frends headphones:  For public transport use and to look cool in.

Apple Macbook Pro 15″ and Bamboo A5 graphic pad:  Bought in 2009, the old lady survived its first near death experience last autumn, all internal replaced and upgraded by this amazing tech-wiz guy in Hackney, and it’s home to all my post-production work, business and leisurely stuff.  I use Bamboo graphic pad for the usual retouching work…..that expensive little buggar.

    We’re surrounded by technology haha.
I want a Macbook! It’s funny because I used to be so opposed to buying Apple simply because I thought I would only be buying because it’s beautifully designed, but now that I need to use Photoshop and InDesign on a daily basis, I really feel the need for a Macbook. I could survive without it, but I’d rather not have to xD

I see you have an old version of Macbook PRO, it’s quite heavy isn’t it? I’m still using my G4 (I know) for most things and looking to upgrade soon. What software do you use for post production?

Funny you should mention about gadgets. I’ve finally conceded defeat and upgraded my clunky 5 year old (and a bit) Mac. Actually, hubby couldn’t stand me screaming at my laptop so he got me a Macbook Air. The process of having to reinstall all the bits and bobs is driving me bonkers. I wish Anker charger would give me a commission. Haha… I made friends and family buy one, only because they end up using mine. One of these days, I’ll have to get a quicker 35mm or 50mm lens. Technology is so expensive. I’ll have to check out that bamboo pad. A friend of mine who does graphics design recommended one but it’s way too big. Yours is a lot daintier and prettier too 😛

I really want to buy myself a new camera – smallish so that it’s more discreet! Love your set up – I have a Wacom bamboo pen tablet and I use it all the time, such a useful little gadget.

Ooh fun gadget post – it’s always interesting to see what people use. I love the camera strap – where is it from? I have the canon MKD III but am still searching for a fun strap. the default one screams MARK D III all over it and makes me feel like it’s a beacon for would be camera thieves!
