LFW AW11 Wardrobe Day 5, Persian Doll

12th March 2011

On day 5 at LFW one street style photographer described  my style as very Japanese doll like, yes if I had bigger eyes, porcelain-like skin and bigger doughnut hair bun with chopsticks inserted.  But no, the style is very (18th Century) Persian inspired with a modern twist.  This is actually one of my favourite LFW outfits, the Borne by Elise Berger ‘Konig’ trousers neutralises the crazy prints and colour on my upper half, Tabio’s cross-over sockettes did the trick with the loose bottom hems and brightly coloured crossover shoulder bags.

Thanks Shini for the outfit shots 😀

Outfit: Scarf tied on hair – borrowed LOUSADA HEYHOE, Top – borrowed T.B.A, Blazer – borrowed PAUL & JOE, Trousers – borrowed BORNE by ELISE BERGER, Purple tights – FALKE, Cross-over sockettes – TABIO, Shoes – TOPSHOP, Bags – borrowed MCM.
Many thanks to H.PR, DeVetta PR, Robinson Pfeffer.

I think the shoes especially made it look Asian, reminds me of those Chinese slippers! And of course your signature hair bun, at first I couldn’t tell the difference when I compared that top photo with your profile photo on the side! That’s how signature it is….I will copy it NYAhaha.

@Shini – I would need a Japanese style platform shoes and a rice paper parasol to complete this ‘Japanese Doll’ look hahaha. Go copy then 😛

Ahhh this is such a beautiful outfit! I love the bright blue bag, it looks so perfect against all the floral.
The shoes tied on top of the trousers are the perfect finish.

Kit, you put together an outfit like no one else I know. Seriously always blown away but your eye for combining prints and colours. Love how you’ve tied the socks around the bottom of your trousers and the details at the waist are so gorgeous!

I read on your previous post mentioning you were going to Paris for a shoot this week, well I’ll be in Paris for three weeks on an internship (not fashion related). This may sound cheeky, can I assist you in any way? I would love see how fashion shoot works and to witness the insight of the glamourous world.
