Cafe Luc – Incredible And Impeccable

26th May 2011

My love of impeccable food had gotten me overly excited recently where Shini and I were invited to dine at Cafe Luc, a stylish and vibrant brasserie located on the upper side of the villagey Marylebone.  Admiring its lovely interior with reference from the 30s Art Deco (one of my favourite eras) with a touch of modern chic, designed by the owner Laurent Vercauteren Drubbel’s partner Julie.

To start I ordered a Crab Tian with avocado, tomato dressing and quail egg (£11.20) – the Cornish crab meat melted in my mouth with a perfect balance of light flavour and seasoning…DEVINE!  Another love of seafood I went for the Moules Marinieres – Mussels cooked in white wine, shallots and parsley (£12.95) and Belgian fries as side order, and the killer dessert Creme Brulee Au Nutella (£6.30).  Surely you wouldn’t end the three course menu without a pot of English breakfast tea as a therapeutic finale for the 3 hour mouth watering evening…pure bliss.

Thank you Monsieur Laurent for being very attentive with us, the waitering staff for their impeccable service and Shini for being my date.

And lastly thanks to Alix of ME:MO Interactive for organising the dinner at such a short notice.

Cafe Luc, 50 Marylebone High Street, London, W1U 5HN.
