Ah a trip to Paris the capital of style – what is not to love about such an excursion on Eurostar. Nothing beats arriving on train and stepping out into the stylish capital. What can I say the sights, the wine and the conversation oh la la! Not to mention a boutique browse or two…

I have just learnt to speak French at school and would love to put it to practice. I have never been to France despite compulsory language learning at school. On television; it’s always filled with images of the Eiffel tower; the culture, to food the people and I just want to experience that for myself.

As I step onto the train with anticipation,
On my way to Paris, filled with adoration,
Excited to see a city full of style and fashion,
Sight seeing, art and culture, a beautiful attraction,

St. Pancras to Paris, Eurostar will take me there,
Carry me safely, with tender love and care,
But this is just a dream, hope is in the air,
    Oh I wish I had some tickets, I just need a pair…

I really need this trip for inspiration in my work! I’ve been thinking about going, but am watching my budget since I lost my job in the recession. Also, I’d like to win this and surprise my BF for his birthday coming in September! Quelle surprise!

I am a native of Trinidad and Tobago, i have always wanted to visit Paris, but have never been able too. I just completed a degree in Media and Communication and had to start working to pay off my school loans, my birthday is august 25th and would love to do something special as i am turning 26 but unfortunately i can’t because of financial constraints. I have always wanted to visit France, and think of it as my Utopia, The chance to visit somewhere soo different from the Caribbean would be an experience to never forget, the history, the fashion, the culture which i am most passionate about, would be something of value to me and a source of inspiration .

I Should Win Because Every Fashionista’s Dream Is To Visit One Of The Worlds Fashion Capital’s And Living In London And Being Able To Visit Paris Would Mean I Could Tick Another Off My List. Just Milan and New York To Go Then!

Fashion Is My Passion And What Better Way 2 Inspire My Creativity And Passion Further Then In A Fashion Capital Of The World, A CityRenowned For Being The City Of Love!…Whats More Passion Then That?

As A Fashion Writer I Would Love To Express My Ideas/Views On Fashion In Another City!

    Gay Paris!

Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Please PleasePleasePlease Please Please could I have the tickets on Eurostar!? I enter every competition possible to win a trip to paris and have never yet been succesful. My husband and I had 4 days there as our honeymoon nearly 10 years ago. We’ve had a really dreadful few years and I’d would love to take my husband back there as a birthday treat/10th anniversary surprise in October to say a huge thank you for all his support in recent years whislt I have been very poorly.I will keep everything crossed!! xx

Because, though I’ve been to Paris before, I long to go see the Patrick Demarchelier exhibtion at the Musée du Petit Palais! I’ll not get the chance to go and see it before it closes, and, after missing the Rankin Live! exhibition in London this year, missing another once-in-a-lifetime exhibition would be so frustrating! For an aspiring fashion photographer such as myself to see these photographs up close would be amazing. Secondly, I speak French pretty well, but any chance to practice for real is very helpful, and thirdly, because I always read this, and your other blog, ‘The Fashion Assistant and Her Camera’, Kit. I promise I will use the second ticket for good, too. Probably by taking my francophile fellow photographer mother with me 🙂

…Because my long suffering husband to be is the most romatic soul I know and makes the most ridiculous effort to keep my happy, I would love to repay him and propose back in Paris.

  • Reply Melli 29th August 2009 at 21:59

My husband and I got married on 11 September 2001 (yes, that September 11th). We’ve still not had our promised honeymoon which we postponed and has since been over-looked for other things, (e.g. decorating and other mundane matters!) and it would be lovely to surprise him and celebrate our eighth anniversary by taking him to Paris for a romantic break.

In Paris Amélie cracked crème brulée with a spoon,
While “We’ll always have Paris” makes audiences swoon,
In ‘Sabrina’ Audrey Hepburn goes to Paris feeling shy,
But returns so sophisticated she catches Humphrey Bogart’s eye,
And Moilère once lived on the Rue Saint-Honoré,
While the writer Victor Hugo also lived in the Marais.
Since Paris helped these people get their ideas and style,
I think I too deserve to go there for a while.
I feel sure that a stroll down the Champs Elyseé,
From the Arc du Triomphe to the Petit Palais,
Would be enough to bring fame and fortune my way!
(And if not it would be lots of fun anyway.)

There once was a guy from Lancashire
Who needed a style much much swisher
Truth be told it is me!
    So here is my plea…
Please be my Eurostar friend and well wisher!

    Fingers crossed 🙂

    Thanks one an’ all!!!

I should win this trip because I am completely and absolutely addicted to the Chocolat L’Africain (hot chocolate) at Angelina’s – a salon de thé on the Rue de Rivoli. Just one more taste of this delicious, rich, trance-inducing drink is all I need – and then I will give it up…I promise! I’ll only have one spare ticket, so it won’t be too bad – only the potential of one more fellow addict, that’s all.

The link below will take you to someone else who has tasted the forbidden fruit too – you see, I am not alone. Please take pity on me!
