After a failed attempt with DIY Faberge nail art resulting in a glitter-gloppy mess and un-Faberge-like, shots were taken and edited. Unsatisfied. The end result was to ditch it altogether (redo it another time) and then create another DIY nail art. It’s choccy related of course and totally edible…speckled Easter mini eggs!
You’ll need: 5 pastel coloured nail polishes of your choice, 1 dark brown nail varnish for speckle pattern, toothpicks (or a baby toothbrush) and a scrap of card.
I’ve used: Paul & Joe pink base coat, Topshop ‘Cyclone’, & Other Stories ‘Moire Green’, ‘Orleans Cornflower’, ‘Paisley Sky’, and Nails Inc ‘Mount Street’.
1. Apply 2 coats of pastel coloured nail varnish, 1 colour per nail.
2. Spill a tiny drop of Nails Inc brown nail polish on a scrap of card.
3. Dip the toothpick in brown nail polish, add small specks on your nail and keep it sparse as possible to achieve the speckled Easter egg look.
