Aren’t they so adorable?  I know this blog entry is rather late but these lovely Paul & Joe beauty goodies were in hands after my trip in Hong Kong (thanks ASOS).  In January Paul & Joe Beauté celebrated its 10th year anniversary, inspired by the founder of the clothing line Sophie Albou’s love of all things fabulously feline, meow!

Being a typical Chinese I couldn’t resist these cute kitty cosmetics, they’re far tooooo cute to use as some would say these are collector’s items for most Asians.  Okay I did use the limited edition compact face powder with cat motif  which works wondrously well over my BB cream. I’m planning to use the Kitten Claws nail polish on the day of my sister’s wedding which matches the colour of the bridesmaids dresses, and my absolute favourite is the blusher stick with a carved-out ‘cat in the hat’ goodness I am so not using it.

Thanks again ASOS for the gift.

**Please note, the 10th year anniversary collection was available exclusively to asos.com for 4 weeks from the 2nd January 2012, hence the late post and non-availability of stock (limited edition compact presse powder) online, you may need to trawl on ebay.

Paul and Joe cosmetics are very popular in Asia because of the packaging (interior and exterior) that appeals to Chinese consumers mainly in Asia, as well as other popular western brands: Mary Quant, Jil Stuart, Anna Sui and many more. Packaging defines the brand ;P

@megan ng Oh yes I realised how big the beauty market is in Asia, particularly Jill Stuart beauty which is hard to track and that they only stock in Japan, Taipei and Hong Kong…never thought a New York clothing brand’s beauty line would do so well in Asia.

I would rather buy your photos of the products than the actual makeup itself… I want to kidnap you and have you document every second of my life. I’ll wait for my reality show to start first.

    • Reply Kit Lee 21st April 2012 at 20:08

@Duck Feel free to kidnap me I’ll be happy to document your life and turn it into a book….and gimme 65% royalty 😀

@Apple I bought a bag of 100 small satin roses for less than £5….a bargain huh?

I bought 2 blusher sticks when they released the collection in HK they tend to run out of stock very quickly.

Adorable! I really love to browse Paul and Joe but I wouldn’t ever want to use them as I’d want them perfect forever! I just bought a Jill Stuart lipstick (the packaging is cute) but I do think the rest of Jill Stuart packaging is a little….too princessy and well a bit tacky! I’m a bit gutted that my lipstick isn’t very bright though…but I’m going to get my Asian make up fix while I am still out here in HK!
