Green Bottles Filled With Magic Goodness

16th April 2018

La Mer - Innisfree - Dr Roebucks - Kit Lee

Life without serum is like life without candy.  Sounds like a sickly sweet romance.  As some of you may already know, I’m a serial serum addict, it has been part of my life for several years now, all thanks to my cousin-auntie in Hong Kong who introduced me to it.  It is of the utmost importance part of my year-round daily skincare routine for longterm results, after toner and before moisturising, twice a day except on weekends to allow my skin to breathe, I switch products when the season shifts or in different environmental conditions.  Here are my current favourites this season, these are the green tiny bottles filled with magic goodness and happiness, here’s why I’m using it and its benefits.

La-Mer---Innisfree---Kit-Lee

La Mer The Concentrate – the holy grail of ‘the miracle broth’.  The founder Dr Huber believed the sea was a miraculous resource and sea kelp, with its endless ability to regenerate itself.   I was given a sample to try when I was in LA last month, I had very sensitive skin and redness during that time, the constant plane journeys and change of environment affected my skin quite badly. I was so intrigue by its miracle broth formula, I gave it a go as soon as I saw the bottle in my hotel bathroom.  The concentrate serum worked like magic, and gosh, how amazing to see the angry redness cleared up after 15 minutes of application, I now use it once a week.  Also, I’ve been using it to heal my scab wounds on both thighs (from insect bites last year), couldn’t help but picking scabs like a fidget spinner, ewww, gross.  The Concentrate has natural healing and skin renewal properties that blows me away, it’s weirdly-amazing to see new skin renewed itself after 2 days of application, my thighs are almost scab free!

Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum – This is one of my favourite serums ever.  It’s a hydrating serum made from 100% organic green tea and green tea seeds in Jeju Island, South Korea.  It’s rated as one of the best selling eco-friendly skincare products in Korea, this wonderful serum has been my go-to serum for thirsty skin for almost 3 years and currently on my third bottle.  Perfect for soothing sun burn or after sun.

Dr-Roebuck's---Kit-Lee

Dr Roebuck’s Ultimate Hydrating Serum – The serum does wonders to my dry and flaky skin from endless long haul plane journeys.  The serum is slightly and thicker in consistency, you only need one drop for the whole face. I find the serum works really well with a richer moisturiser cream for long haul plane travels, without having to reapply the product on the skin every 3 hours.  I have been using the products for a couple months now, my feels hydrated, supple.

Dr Roebuck’s Boost & Tighten Serum – Same consistency as the Ultimate Hydrating Serum.  It’s a natural collagen boosting serum that helps to tighten, brighten and hydrate your skin.  I apply it mainly on the nose area where its oiliest and tighten the unsightly pores, and on the cheeks for extra elasticity.
