Wish I had the 42 survived (out of 50) Imperial Fabergé eggs laid out in front me, examine every angles of intricate craft and complex enamel art work with a magnifying scope that would potentially expose my exuberant behaviour like a straitjacket maniac.  Ok, that’s a little exaggerated.  My past visits at Fabergé flagship store in Mayfair HERE and HERE were enough to drool over.  Here’s a little something for Easter weekend, please, do enjoy my easy-ish DIY Fabergé egg nail art or just look at the pictures, have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone!

You’ll need: 5 different coloured enamel-like nail varnishes (preferably dark and metallic colours), nail art pens, toothpicks, and a scrap of card.  For inspiration, do check out Pinterest and Fabergé’s official website for images and ideas.
I’ve used: Chanel Red Dragon, Dior Charcoal Windsor, American Apparel Blue Mount Royal, & Other Stories Khaki Mohair Khaki, Topshop Foil Purple Wisdom, Topshop Black and Gold nail art pens.

1.  Apply 2 coats of nail varnish, 1 colour per nail.
2.  Use a nail art pen to draw a pattern, criss-cross, floral swirl, bow, celtic pattern, it’s absolutely your choice.
3.  Dip the toothpick in (any colour) nail varnish to apply dots.  You could use glitter nail varnish to achieve the jewelled effect.

Props: Hand model – May, Folli Follie Heart4Heart ring – on loan from Folli Follie, Fabergé book and Christmas card both c/o Fabergé PR, Weston silk scarf c/o Weston.

  1. So pretty Kit! My hands aren’t nearly steady enough to do this sort of thing to my nails. It would turn out as one big mess. It looks gorgeous though! xx

  2. Good gracious, these photos are beautiful. I always look forward to your posts (long time reader, first time commenter) – your photography just keeps getting better and better.

  3. Your photography is so inspiring, so lovely to see you used the Faberge egg book and scarf as props to create the final presentation for your finished nail art.
