The complexity of understanding sustainable fashion and the rising trend of eco-friendly products still in its immaturity stage.  As a freelance dress-maker and crafter, like any crafters I keep boxes stuffed with good-odd bits of cheap quality fabrics and scraps of leather from my years at London College of Fashion for future upcycling projects which hasn’t yet happened, I still hoard scraps which are still useless today, they will not turn into a beautiful wearable garment or a cushion cover.

My lovely two friends from Hong Kong, Tania Reinert and Samantha Wong have recently launched their online fashion boutique, A Boy Named Sue, stocking carefully selected sustainable fashion labels from across the globe; Partimi, Thu Thu, The Sway, Hien Le, and many more. A unique concept with strong eco and social ethics, no sweatshop bananas and their cool catchy tagline – ‘cool clothes with a conscience’ clearly says it all.

P.s their Partimi’s Heath silk shirt sell like hot cakes!
