Groundhog Day at My Lake Hotel: The pressure of meeting deadlines (blogging) and replying zillions of emails are always immensely depressing especially when going on press trips, with late nights and endless caffeine consumption and cheekily check on new feeds on Bloglovin’ as a distraction. Nothing stopped me from bringing my giant Macbook Pro 15″ laptop to Lake’s Fashion Days in Austria…Shini and I spent our first night with our laptops in a dimly lit hotel restaurant (where wifi was available) painstakingly-continuously photoshopping images, catch up with backlog posts and emails, and by after midnight we headed to my room for tea and espresso….omg why?
On day 2 we were blinded by the beautiful glisten of mid-day sun yet again with laptops under our arms, a lunch date with local fashion bloggers from Germany, Austria, Slovenia and the like, I only recognised two names (pictured) from past press trips to Milan somewhere else. It was an honour to meet Fensišmensi (my new favourite blog), Bees And Ballons, Bikinis And Passports, Cool Outfit, C-Heads Mag, Fanfarella, H.anna, Kathmography, Life.Style.Fun, Madonna, Mangoblute, Model Talk, Oblacilnica, Repeatoire, Kingdom Style, The Fashion Globe, Stylish Kids In Riot, Style Kitchen and Vienna Style.
Lake’s Fashion Days at My Lake Hotel: There were about at least 10 or so designers showing hourly each day, one particular designer Katrina Kafka caught my eye with her romantic, structural-engineer-esque collection stunned by her immaculate, attention to detail. I was told the collection was created a week before Katrina presented her show…total awesomeness.
