I’ve never been a fan of Ugg boots and any cheap looking Ugg imitations on girls that look like leg casts in various styles. I hate them and I despise them…there I said it, slap me in the face if you see me in the street.
Having missed the Blogger Breakfast with Mou at Modus’s HQ last month due to a cold with a migraine, gutted when I read Jill’s post who was present at the event. What so interesting about the Mou brand is that Shelly Tichborne who founded the brand from London’s Portobello Road in 2002, it was Shelly’s out of desire to create original, luxurious footwear and hand crafted in premium natural fibre from sheep skin to antelope fur, the materials are ethically sourced and eco-friendly.
I was fortunate to borrow an expensive pair from their AW10 collection, a knee-high sheepskin boots with fox-fur trimming as seen on HERE. Thanks to the snow and freezing temperature I wore the boots out for a test drive, style up with my loaned sheep skin furry gilet from DLUX Collections. Loved how my feet were cushioned between the shearling lining and the added bonus was my feet were on FIRE (good fire), call me a hypocrite I LOVED it but still, I won’t change my mind about Ugg but Mou….sorry Ugg fans they still look hideous.

Mou also sells on Net-a-Porter as well as it’s own online shop.
Thanks Shini for my outfit photos.

@Michele – High five** Yes I hate Uggs very much, Crocs are even worse. My sister bought a pair from HK – hideous and I want to set it on fire.
HA! You ARE the boy from The Emperor’s New Clothes! (Not literally, of course). I would not slap you if I saw you – I would hi-five (or hug) you for your bravery in voicing what I believe so many of us are thinking: “why are you wearing your slippers out of the house????????”.
Great post!!
xxxo
(Now, when are you going to say WTF about crocs??)
p.s. ‘Kit’s Greatest Hits’: a blog devoted to teaching people how to achieve your colour sense – or die trying.
Of course, there would be copyright issues…
Oh this shoot is beautiful! (Hat’s off, Shini). I love how you styled it. I thought you were wearing more like the fully fur ones like the antelope:

or the goatskin, which really captured my imaginaton:

Yeah I feel like a total hypocrite: I was both anti-Uggs AND anti-new fur. But it’s like with men: you might set out to say I would never be with a bad boy bastard like him.. and you end up marrying him and eating your words.
Ha, I got so sucked into the post I forgot why I came here: just did a post about you:

It’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’m thinking of starting a new blog and calling it Kit’s Slick Style Guide to Colour, or something even more lame.
THANK YOU for yesterday, I would have stopped blogging altogether if it weren’t for you and Jen. xox
Good on you for disliking Uggs, they are really really ugly. Mou is something else, it looks similar but it has characters.
Props ye.
I hate Uggs too but you have to concede to wearing the ugly thing to keep your feet warm. I love Mou boots because they look better than any other versions.
Your new follower.

Bet you hate the english weather here.
Lovely shots. I adore this nomadic-modern styling with a pop of red showing.
You look so cosy! I’m with you on the Uggs. I do own some but I only wear them in Scotland when it’s freezing and icy and, for those few days, I love them. And then they’re straight back in the box! These boots are special, I want to feel the fire..
I like the color and texture of your gilet.
