Last week I was kindly invited by the lovelies DeVetta PR and Laetitia of Mademoiselle Robot who also blogs for MCM to participate in the Bloggers Makeover shoot to model MCM‘s latest bag collection, and photographed by the incredible Rui Faria, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of VOLT magazine…waayhaay!
The shoot took place at Snap Studio a short walk from the nearby infamous Holborn Studios in East London, before I set foot inside the studio I was really nervous I wasn’t sure what to expect, as you know being a stylist’s assistant to Marcella Martinelli on gazillion editorial shoots I’m used to being in the background and watch*. My make up was done by the lovely Adam de Cruz Founder & Editor-in-Chief of STIMULI magazine, he told me I have great skin and didn’t need to apply anything except a touch of concealer and heavy layers of reds and pigments on my bee-stung lips – they looked incredible! My hair was curled and a fringe trimmed by Gow Tanaka.
Bora Kown of MCM introduced me to selections of MCM bags and outerwear, I had to pick two bags to go with my two chosen looks. I went for the popular red ‘Glam Rock’ tambourine bag to go with the Gap-Uniqlo-preppy-late 90s-early 2000 inspired look, and ash-lilac ‘Ramona & Liselotte Ostrich’ handbag to go with the quirky-lady-doesn’t-give-a-damn-about-heels look.
Enough said for this blog post for now, *stay tuned for more details about the shoot and the insanely cool finalised images hopefully by end of this week or the next. There were three 3 bloggers involved in the shoot you can check out their blogs for updates; Kristin Knox of The Clothes Whisperer, Alex Vanthournout of Alex Loves and Georgina Langford of Glitter Bird and the behind the scenes post on MCM blog.
I’ll leave you with some behind the scenes shots.
